Since the first of January the new supply chain due dilligence act comes into force is mandatory for companies. The law is intended to ensure that both human and environmental rights are respected. Although it is directing to German companies, this act has direct consequences for the whole supply chain including suppliers from Slovenia as well as Croatia.
Within this webinar the move away from the common approach of explaning theory to a more practive-oriented approach to face the following
questions:
1. Which areas does the law cover and to whom is it addressed?
2. What does the law mean for the Slovenian/Croatian supplier?
3. What must the Slovenian/Croatian supplier fullfill?
Beside the German act, the European Union will also implement a similiar but more strict law on a European level.

In 2019, Jaro already published a guide for sustainable procurement fort he German Association for Mterials Management, Purchasing and Logistics (BME), a strategic cooperation partner and developed the BME certification for sustainable procurement organizations.
Additionaly, Jaro developed with 13 trainers of varoius nationalities a modular training program Certified Sustainable Procurement Professional.
This e-learning can be used completely online for the further training of buyers, but also for supplier qualification, in order to build up and expand the necessary competencies for sustainable management in global supply chains. The study program was nominated by the Federal Association of Distance Learning Providers as the study program oft he year 2022 in Germany!
