📈 NEW RECORD: #Germany attracted 34.8 billion euros worth of international business projects in 2023 – that’s the result of #GTAI’s annual #FDI report. Here are some key facts: ℹ The investment volume represents an annual increase of 37.5 percent compared to 2022 (EUR 25.3 billion). ℹ The raw number of foreign direct investment projects, 1759, was basically the same (24 projects fewer) as in 2022. ℹ Eight projects in Germany involve planned investments of more than one billion euros. ℹ Major FDI projects were announced in the areas of digitalization, healthcare and life sciences, energy and resources, electronics and automation, and mobility and logistics. ℹ Countries of origin: #USA with 235 projects, followed by #Switzerland (202), #China (200), the #UnitedKingdom (153), the #Netherlands (122) and #France (88). “Despite the difficult global business climate and negative headlines, Germany continued last year to attract premium projects from some of the world’s leading companies, including Apple, Roche, Eli Lilly & Company, British Petroleum and the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company,” says Robert Hermann, CEO at Germany Trade & Invest. “That’s no wonder because Germany is Europe’s largest market, a secure and reliable business environment, and a world leader in research and development with a highly skilled workforce.” Interested in more details?
